From time to time, I like to update the themes on my Windows desktop computer. The Windows Store offers a variety of free themepacks, but most of the time they are watermarked and are not necessarily relevant to my day-in, day-out experience. If Windows is a viewpoint out of a window, then I should be able to see on my desktop the sorts of things I could see out of my actual window. At least, that’s how I’m looking at it.
Unfortunately, I’m having a hard time finding a theme that covers what should be a basic, seasonal topic: autumn leaves. No watermarks, no credits, just beautiful images of autumn landscapes. Since I dabble in graphic design, and I have access to a stock image subscription, I decided to try to create my own custom Windows themepacks. Once I figured out what the image size needed to be, I was able to set up a Photoshop template and then size a selection of images to fit the requirements. The result is a wonderful autumn themepack that will work on any Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10 computer, laptop, or tablet.
Filled with 12 images of autumnal vistas, I hope you enjoy this free “Autumn Leaves” themepack for Windows. Now that I’ve got the process down-pat, I will be making new themes as the mood strikes, and will share them on my blog. Feel free to check back from time to time to see what’s new.
